What Is Trézōr Bridge?
Trézōr Bridge is a lightweight background application that enables communication between a Trézōr hardware wallet and your computer. It acts as the local intermediary between browsers and your Trézōr device, replacing older browser plugins. It works silently across Windows, macOS and Linux, ensuring browsers like Chrome, Firefox or Brave can recognize and securely interface with your hardware wallet .
Why It Matters
-
Secure Channel: It encrypts all data exchanges between your device and computer, protecting against malware or phishing .
-
Universal Support: Allows connection across browsers that lack native WebUSB support, such as certain versions of Firefox or privacy‑focused browsers .
-
Low Overhead: Runs quietly with minimal system resource use, auto‑updating as needed .
Installation & Setup
Download the Bridge from the official Trézōr site, run the installer for your OS, and restart your browser when prompted. After installation, the Bridge process runs in the background—on Windows as “Trézōrd”, on macOS via Activity Monitor, and on Linux accordingly .
Logging In
There’s no Bridge‑specific login. Instead, when you connect the Trézōr and open the web wallet, the browser detects the device via Bridge. You complete authentication by verifying matching codes on your device and entering your PIN or passphrase directly on the hardware—never in the browser .
Logging Out / Disconnecting
Trézōr Bridge has no user interface or logout feature. To end a session:
• Disconnect your Trézōr device physically.
• Close or navigate away from the wallet in the browser.
No residual session persists once the device is unplugged and the browser is closed .
